Substrate, Inc is a local Structural Engineering and Construction Management firm that has completed hundreds of projects in the Bay Area. We are familiar with the building department, local agencies, the local codes and the Bay Area building industry.

We at Substrate understand that sustainable design is an increasing priority for architects, builders, and owners; therefore, our staff consists of LEED Accredited Professionals. Members of Substrate, Inc have assisted many of our clients achieve LEED Certification and/or sustainable design goals for their respective projects by implementing value engineering concepts such as incorporating alternative solar energy infrastructure, specifying “green” building materials, and designing structural systems which reduce overall materials expenditure and waste. We consider ourselves efficient engineers and strive to apply lean and value engineering principles to our designs effectively saving owners thousands of dollars.

EXPERIENCED – A PROVEN TRACK RECORD

We have worked in the past with such companies as Coldwell Banker. In some cases, we were able to quickly make structural repairs or upgrades before closing deals. We have completed hundreds of projects in the Bay Area ranging from simple home remodels to very high-end residential homes.
